The GDS 50kN load frame fulfills the role of a traditional compression/extension loading frame. The frame can be controlled by velocity, load or displacement, allowing small strains testing, k0 and creep tests. Additionally, a Consolidation Constant Rate of Strain cell (CRS) can be fitted to the frame, allowing reducןמע the time required to complete a consolidation test.
